COLONIALISM! We are faced with this topic always too late, that is why Teatronas has decided to combine their knowledge of theatre and contemporary circus to create an adventure - to speak to children about colonialism. Lithuania has a mixed history, since it was occupied for many years far too many times. Nowadays, when you can travel around the world way faster than in 80 days, the histories of all the continents is as easy to learn, as to get to a tourist destination.
The show is loosely based on J. Verne "Around the world in 80 days", A. Chamisso "Peter Schleimihl" and the contemporary trend to colonise the space and its bodies.
The dramaturgy of theatre and circus is created by the very talented ambassadors of these arts - Kristina Marija Kulinič and Džiugas Kunsmanas. By combining these two art forms we seek to talk to the young audience about respect, travel, our planet and how not to take what is not yours.
